How We Can Help?
Can I arrange a Third-Party Inspection
Transparency is our policy. At Aurora Global Brands, we stand by the quality of our manufacturing. We welcome clients to arrange third-party inspections to ensure the products meet your specifications before shipment.
1. Who can inspect? We regularly work with major international testing and inspection agencies, including SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, and QIMA. You are also welcome to send your own authorized quality control agent.
2. When should the inspection happen?
- Final Random Inspection (FRI): This is the most common type. It takes place when 100% of the goods are produced and at least 80% are packed in cartons.
- During Production Check (DUPRO): For large OEM orders (10,000+ units), you may request an inspection when 20-50% of the production is complete to catch any early issues.
3. Scheduling & Logistics
- Notice: Please notify your Project Manager at least 10 business days in advance so we can reserve a QC room and staff to assist the inspectors.
- Cost: The cost of the third-party inspection service is paid by the client. Aurora Global Brands provides the venue and logistical support (unpacking/repacking assistance) at no extra charge.
4. Inspection Standards Unless otherwise specified in your contract, we follow the international standard ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (AQL Level II) for inspections:
- Critical Defects: 0
- Major Defects: AQL 2.5
- Minor Defects: AQL 4.0
5. A Note for Small Private Label Orders While we allow inspections for all orders, please note that third-party agencies typically charge $300 – $500 per man-day.
- If your order value is small (e.g., $1,000 for 50 lipsticks), hiring an external inspector may not be cost-effective.
- Alternative: For small orders, we can provide a detailed “Virtual Inspection” (High-res photos and videos of your specific goods) before shipping upon request.
