Who is the “Responsible Person” (RP)?
In the world of cosmetics regulation (especially in the EU/UK), every product must have a designated “Responsible Person” (RP).
For Private Label Clients: Since you are selling the product under YOUR Brand Name, YOU (or your company) are typically the Responsible Person.
- What does this mean? Your company name and address must appear on the packaging as the “Distributor” or “RP”.
- Why? Retailers and authorities need to know who to contact if a consumer has a reaction.
- Aurora’s Role: We are the Manufacturer. We ensure the product is made safely, consistent with the master formula, and free from contamination. We support you (the RP) with all technical data needed to prove compliance.
