1. Private Label (Often called “ODM”)
- Concept: “Ready-to-Wear.”
- Definition: We have already designed the formula, tested the stability, and selected the packaging. You simply add your logo.
- Industry Term: Technically, this is ODM (Original Design Manufacturer), because we created the design.
- Best For: Startups, Makeup Artists, Salons.
- Pros: Low MOQ (12 units), Fast Launch, No R&D fees.
- Cons: You cannot change the formula; You do not own the formula IP.
2. Custom Manufacturing (The True “OEM”)
- Concept: “Bespoke / Tailor-Made.”
- Definition: You come to us with a specific vision. You want a unique texture, a custom bottle shape, or a specific ingredient list. We manufacture it according to your specifications.
- Industry Term: This is OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). You are the “Creator,” we are the “Builder.”
- Best For: Established Brands, Retailers, Unique Concept Brands.
- Pros: Unique product, You own the Formula IP (if R&D fee is paid), Full control over specs.
- Cons: High MOQ (3,000+ units), Longer timeline (3-6 months), R&D fees apply.
