Discontinuation Policy: What if a component goes out of stock?
Global supply chains can be unpredictable. Sometimes a specific bottle mold breaks, or a raw material supplier stops producing an extract.
Here is how Aurora Global Brands manages supply chain risks for our OEM partners:
1. Raw Material Changes If a specific ingredient becomes unavailable (e.g., a specific extract from France), our R&D team will verify a Substitutable Alternative that has the exact same INCI name and efficacy. We will notify you only if the change affects the texture or color.
2. Packaging Discontinuation If a bottle or pump is discontinued by the mold factory:
- Notification: We provide at least 3 months’ notice whenever possible.
- Solutions: We will present 2-3 closest alternatives (similar shape/volume) for your approval.
- Safety Stock: For long-term contracts, we recommend clients keep a “Safety Stock” of packaging components in our warehouse to bridge any gaps.
